Professional CEU Opportunities

The Evolution Group, Inc. is continuing to develop opportunities to share education with our community of counselors and social workers.

As we explore best practices and new information and resources in our field, we seek to build bridges with other service providers in the area by offering our findings as continuing education. We are an approved CEU provider through the New Mexico State Licensing Board and committed to developing programming that matters.

If there are areas that you would be interested in learning more about, please let us know!

Currently, we are offering a series of Webinars through the Responsible Gaming Association of New Mexico and the Mescalero Responsible Gaming Commission. Below you will find the Webinars and the links to register in the events calendar. The Webinars are free, but registration is required.

26th Annual Problem Gambling Conference

Brought to you by the Responsible Gaming Association of New Mexico.

Problem gambling, more often than we may realize, underlies what some of our clients present with at intake.  Moreover, most therapists, doctors, emergency room physicians, and urgent care providers don’t screen for gambling disorders.  Add the fact that clients are only too happy to keep their gambling disorder a secret, due to the strong shame and stigma that having it often causes, and we end up treating our clients for the wrong condition.

Problem gambling affects every community in our state and can cause harm to the lives of problem gamblers as well as their families and friends.  But it is a hidden addiction that requires skills and knowledge to unearth and effectively treat.

The Responsible Gaming Association of New Mexico, now in it’s 26th year of advocating for responsible gaming and the leader in the fight against problem gambling in New Mexico, is offering it’s 26th Annual Conference on Problem Gambling.  The RGANM Annual conference is the largest and longest-standing conference on problem gambling in the Southwest. Launched in 1998, The RGANM Annual Conference brings together compelling speakers and experts from across the country and around the world to learn from and with additional opportunities to meet and network and learn from colleagues in the field.

This year’s conference will provide education about new research, the tools and resources available for effective gambling disorder treatment and recovery, as well as offering information on innovative treatment topics that affect your work with problem gamblers as well as clients struggling with other addictions.

This year the conference will again be offered in a webinar format for a total of 12 gambling – specific CEU hours.  These 12 CEU hours will also count for Ethics CEUs.  Each webinar will be 2 hours in duration spanning March through August

Important:  In order to attend the webinar series and receive CEUS, participants will have to:

  1. Be registered
  2. Attend the entire session
  3. Fill out a session survey afterwards and answer a few ethics questions relating to the material taught.

CEU certificates will be emailed to participants email addresses within 5 business days following completion of the post webinar series.
