Recovery is… Rebirth.
We renounce greed, hatred, and delusion. We train our minds to meet all pain with compassion and all pleasure with nonattached appreciation. We cultivate generous, kind, and compassionate wishes for all living beings. We practice honesty and humility and live with integrity.- Noah Levine

I am a counselor who practices radical acceptance in my personal and professional life. I believe mindfulness is key to self awareness and peace. I’ve spent many years looking outside of myself to feel satisfied in life. As I’ve gotten older I realized it’s the light within that radiates. Once we truly understand and get to that it continues to flow within our homes and communities. Essentially we have to change our “reactions” into a “response” that we accept.
I did my undergraduate work at Suffolk University in Boston and Northeastern in Chicago. My concentration of study was International affairs and Justice Studies. After graduating I moved to Sedona, AZ for graduate school at Prescott College. Moving from a big city to a small town I learned how to “Sit still” and “Look within.” In graduate school I concentrated in somatic counseling and substance abuse. When I graduated I moved to Portland, Maine and spent time working with refugees from Iraq and veterans. Most of my focus was to help them navigate their pain, PTSD and grief. Many of them were exposed to war trauma. My passion is to work in the multi-cultural communities. I moved to Albuquerque two years ago and worked at an inpatient treatment facility for addiction. I specialized in group work, Mindfulness and Cognitive behavioral therapy. I am currently on a path in my career to help people find self love and intimacy in their own lives. My interests are: refugees, sex addiction, intimacy issues, couples, end of life, EMDR, gambling addiction, multi-cultural counseling, somatic therapy, refuge recovery (Buddhist-oriented recovery program), Red Road to Wellbriety recovery programs and existential therapy. My personal interests are yoga, knitting, meditation, making soaps and jewelry.
Past experience: Recovery courts, Group work, creative recovery, kids in treatment foster care, parents on skill building, elderly, refugees, veterans, family counseling, grief and loss, probation liaison, intake coordinator, case manager, taught English as a second language to Korean community in Chicago.
