Open six days a week 8am-8pm since July, 2002, we keep our clients identity confidential.
We start with a confidential individual consultation in which we start the process of comprehensive assessment in order to determine your needed level of care and to design an individually tailored plan for recovery.
The Compulsive Gambler is viewed within the context of cultural origin, family background, financial factors and level of functioning.
We see the compulsive gambler as a person, human and unique, and who is struggling and out of balance.
The view we take of our clients is one of compassion and unconditional humanistic and positive regard. The quality of the connection we endeavor to make with the client and the resulting therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance.
The Gambling Treatment Center takes a wellness approach that can include family members, financial management, and recovery of integrity. These approaches include cognitive-behavioral therapy; harm reduction; financial counseling; motivational interviewing; individual and group therapy; encouragement of participation in community support groups (i.e., Gamblers Anonymous, Gam-Anon, etc.); pharmacology; and acupuncture.
We see compulsive gamblers in group, individual, family, and couples modalities. We also utilize a financial consultant who specializes in working with problem gamblers and/or their family members.
We often work with the family members of compulsive gamblers to augment treatment, to assist with the issues they are dealing with as a result of the impact compulsive gambling has on the family, and/or to design effective interventions that might potentiate a compulsive gambler to seek help by entering treatment.
We have specialized tracks within the clinic for men, women, Spanish speaking individuals, Native Americans, veterans, and gay and lesbian clients.
The Compulsive Gambling Treatment Center Approach
The Compulsive Gambling Treatment Center is an intensive outpatient treatment track within the Evolution Group, Inc. It is unique in that it is specifically designed for individuals, couples and families dealing with the specific social issue of problem/compulsive gambling. It is also The Compulsive Gambling Treatment Center is a voluntary, comprehensive treatment program for problem and compulsive gamblers. The Compulsive Gambling Treatment Center is provided by The Evolution Group, Inc. and various services are offered within the core program, which consists of Phase I (Stabilization), Phase II (Connection), Phase III (Maintenance), and Phase IV (Transitional Care).
We provide treatment to clients through a vertical integrated treatment model spanning A.S.A.M. placement criteria levels 1-2.25, featuring group, individual, and multi-family counseling, 9-hour IOP, and recovery house living if needed. Gambling sobriety skills, recovery of basic integrity, addressing deeper personal issues, mental and physical health, focusing on client strengths, and lifestyle changes are all areas of focus within the therapeutic experience at The Compulsive Gambling Treatment Center. Education about the various aspects of a person’s physical well-being that is affected by problem/compulsive gambling is emphasized through the program and begins with the opportunity to receive acupuncture and wellness information.
Services are also available to the family members of problem gamblers.
